Dollie Marie Olson

Dollie Marie Myrick Olson, 81, of Baytown passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was born June 10, 1936 in Liberty, Texas to parents, William Henry Myrick and Alta Mae Gray Myrick.

Services for Mrs. Olson will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin, Texas. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.

Mrs. Olson was a lifelong resident of the Liberty/Dayton area. Dollie married Robert Olson on May 19, 1953 gave birth to eight children, one adopted and raised many other children as their own. Dollie and Bob “Pa” never met a stranger and always open their home up to any and all that had a need. She enjoyed doing needlework especially needlepoint, cross-stitch and embroidery. Most of all Dollie loved all babies and loved her family. She has gone to join her husband and family in heaven where she will live in peace and pain free. She will be missed dearly her on earth but will be joined in heaven someday.

Mrs. Olson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Olson; son, William Henry Olson; and brothers, Lester Myrick and Billy Smith, sister, Juanita Nugent. She is survived by her children, James Olson, Patsy Scott and husband Jerry, Donald Olson and wife Thelma, Bobby Olson, Cindy Blake and husband Nathaniel, Ricky Olson and wife Cindy, Marie Davis and husband Lee, and Joseph Olson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Betty, Liz Joyce and husband Eugene, Mary and husband Jessie, Charles, and Curtis; sisters-in-law, Mary and May; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
