Wesley Thurman Latimer

Wesley Thurman Latimer, age 79 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born September 28, 1938 in Shamrock, Texas to parents Charlie Jason Latimer and Willie Mae Parr Latimer who preceded him in death along with his sister, Letrecia Pauline Latimer; brother, Billy Don Latimer; and first wife, Sylvia Anne Wardlow.

Mr. Latimer graduated from Odessa High School and St. Edwards University. He began his career with South Western Bell in 1957 and continued to work there until his retirement in 1996. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Latimer; daughter, Kristin Anne Latimer; sons, James Cavan Latimer and wife Linda and David Michael Latimer; step-son, Brent Allen Campbell and wife Keely; grandchildren, Wesley Aaron Latimer, John Matthew Latimer, Sean Patrick Tobin, Kathleen Anne Tobin, Sylvia Anais Latimer, Connor Reid Campbell and Coy Patrick Campbell; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018 at Splendora City Cemetery, Splendora, Texas.
