Magdalen Allison Hawkins

Magdalen Allison Hawkins, age 61, formerly of Liberty passed away June 16, 2018 at Regent Care Center in The Woodlands, TX. Magdalen was born June 19, 1956 in Liberty, TX daughter of the late William Anthony Allison and Florence Agnes Michalka Allison. She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Liberty up to the sixth grade and then went on to public school in Liberty. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1975 and then went on to attend two years of college at Sam Houston State University. Magdalen worked for Judge I.B. Carroll as his secretary and then was a homemaker. She always had one of the biggest smiles a person could have. She loved her family more than anything else.

Magdalen was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Donald Hawkins, sister; Margaret Allison Williams and brother; Dennis William Allison. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter; Stephanie Dueboay Glover and husband Joey of Livingston, TX, brothers; Kenneth Allison and wife Kathleen of St. Augustine, FL, Tim Allison and wife Pat of Liberty, David Allison and wife Mary Ann of Liberty, sisters; Elizabeth Allen and husband Dr. J.H. Allen, Nancy Scull and husband Walter, Ruth Ann Person and husband Stephen, grandchildren; Carter Brandenburg, Madeline Glover, Jayden Glover and numerous nieces and nephews.

Before creating Bluebonnet News in 2018, Vanesa Brashier was a community editor for the Houston Chronicle/Houston Community Newspapers.
