Annie Frances Jordan Thornton

Annie Frances Jordan Thornton, 89, of Dayton passed away Friday, June 21, 2018 in Kingwood, Texas. Mrs. Thornton was born July 19, 1928 to parents, Clarence and Henrietta Barnes Jordan.

Graveside service for Mrs. Thornton will be 12 noon, Monday, June 25, 2018 at French Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thornton had been a resident of Kenefick for over 75 years. She was a member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church, former member of Eastern Star and was always active in the Kenefick Civic activities. She enjoyed cooking for big family gathering and listening to old time gospel and country music but most of all in her later years she enjoyed shopping. Frances and Skeet her husband of over 70 years always enjoyed dancing.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd “Skeet” Thornton; sons Ronald Lloyd Thornton and Perry Edward Thornton; brother R.C. Jordan; and sister Inez Swanson. She is survived by her son, Tootie Thornton and wife Charlotte; daughters, Peggy Ilene Dobbs and Regina K. Thornton; daughter-in-law, Becky Thornton; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
