Ovie Lee Nugent

Ovie Lee Nugent, age 82 of Houston, formerly of Daisetta, passed away June 26, 2018 in Houston, Tx.  Ovie Lee was born October 10, 1935 in Liberty, TX son of the late Eugene Nugent and Maude Taylor Nugent.  He graduated from Hull-Daisetta High School in 1958 and worked in the oilfield all his life.  In his spare time, he loved playing softball.  Ovie Lee played softball for many years and was one of the oldest pitchers that played in the Liberty Softball League.  It was said that he was a legend on the field.

Ovie Lee was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Manuel Nugent, L.E. Nugent, Odell Nugent and sister; Iva Able.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, sisters; Myrtle Brewer of Houma, LA, Opal Faye Graboski of Pennsylvania, brothers; Lonnie Nugent of California, Carroll Nugent of Devers and numerous nieces and nephews.
