The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects in two robberies in East Montgomery County.
Deputies were dispatched to the first of the two robberies on Aug. 9, just before 9 p.m., at the Walgreen’s located at 24971 FM 1314 in Porter, according to a statement from Lt. Scott Spencer, spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. The second, involving the same suspect, was reported about 30 minutes prior to that at the Kroger Pharmacy at 22030 Market Place Dr., New Caney.
“During the ensuing investigations, deputies learned that the suspect entered the Walgreen’s and the Kroger and provided a note demanding medications to pharmacy employees. At the Walgreen’s robbery, the suspect informed employees that he had a gun and placed his hand in his waistband, which led the employee to believe the suspect had a gun. The employees provided the suspect with the medications and he left. At the Kroger robbery, deputies learned the employee refused to give the suspect the medications so the suspect left,” Spencer wrote in an emailed statement.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s, approximately six feet tall and was last seen wearing a camo hat, blue long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The suspect concealed his face with a hospital mask and parked his vehicle in front of the entry doors. The vehicle is described as a white Chevrolet Malibu sedan with steel, black, factory wheels.
