Dayton teen earns Eagle Scout rank

Matthew Seal of Troop 8 in Dayton has earned his Eagle Scout rank, becoming part of an elite group of Scouts to earn such a rank. Roughly only 4 percent of all Scouts complete the requirement of earning at least 21 merit badges to become an Eagle Scout, according to Boy Scouts of America.

Seal is a member of the Trinity District of Three Rivers Council. He is pictured with his mother, Marla Seal, and Tabatha Lawson, Trinity District Advancement chair.
