Howard Blalock

Howard Blalock, 87, of New Waverly, Texas passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018. He was born on Monday, November 17, 1930 in Longview, Texas to George Dewey Blalock and Emma Kate Stovall, both of whom have preceded him in death. Howard was also preceded in death by his brothers, James and Tommy, sisters, Ida Ruth, Betty, Dena, and Julia. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years Threcia Blalock; children, Kathy Burgess and husband Chuck; Marshall Howard Blalock Jr. and Bet, Michael Davis and wife Helen, Michele Hoot and husband Mike; grandchildren, Jeb, Ashton, Angie, Will, Oliva, Jennifer, Bradley, Robert, Christopher, Chris, Caleb; four great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and treasured friends. Graveside services for Howard will be held at Gum Springs Cemetery, 2250 Gum Springs Rd., Longview, Texas, on September 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Wayne Norvell, officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
