Halloween costume contest winners announced

In first place, with 754 votes, is Jude Parker, 2. He dressed as The Grinch for Halloween and is the son of Sam and Cheyenne Parker of Cleveland.

In the weeks leading up to Halloween, an invitation was issued to parents and grandparents on Bluebonnet News’ Facebook page to submit photos of their children 11 and under for a Halloween costume contest. The call for photos was answered with 153 photos.

With 607 votes, second place goes to Cameron Miller, 10 months old, and Charlie Blizzard, 14 months old. Cameron is the son of Kaitlin and Colby Miller and Charlie is the daughter of Kristin and Brad Blizzard. They were dressed as an old man and woman.

Votes were tallied based on the number of “likes” a photo received and parents were encouraged to share the Facebook link with family members and friends. The top three entries will receive prizes, courtesy of the Texan Theater in Cleveland.

First prize is free movie tickets, drinks and popcorn for a party of six. The second-place prize is free movie tickets, drinks and popcorn for a party of five, and third place will receive free movie tickets, drinks and popcorn for a party of four. Gift certificates will be mailed or emailed to the winners in the coming days.
