In the weeks leading up to Halloween, an invitation was issued to parents and grandparents on Bluebonnet News’ Facebook page to submit photos of their children 11 and under for a Halloween costume contest. The call for photos was answered with 153 photos.
Votes were tallied based on the number of “likes” a photo received and parents were encouraged to share the Facebook link with family members and friends. The top three entries will receive prizes, courtesy of the Texan Theater in Cleveland.
First prize is free movie tickets, drinks and popcorn for a party of six. The second-place prize is free movie tickets, drinks and popcorn for a party of five, and third place will receive free movie tickets, drinks and popcorn for a party of four. Gift certificates will be mailed or emailed to the winners in the coming days.
In first place, with 754 votes, is Jude Parker, 2. He dressed as The Grinch for Halloween and is the son of Sam and Cheyenne Parker of Cleveland.
With 607 votes, second place goes to Cameron Miller, 10 months old, and Charlie Blizzard, 14 months old. Cameron is the son of Kaitlin and Colby Miller and Charlie is the daughter of Kristin and Brad Blizzard. They were dressed as an old man and woman.
In third place, with 537 votes, is Kaisley Knox of Hull, Texas. Kaisley is the daughter of Billy and Pam Knox. She was a little lamb for Halloween.

- 351 votes: Adaleigh Eliana Iduarte and her father, Angel Iduarte, were a daughter-daddy duo as Beauty and the Beast. Mom is Carol Perez of Liberty, Texas.
- 335 votes: Kase Males, 2, is the son of Dalton and Chelsea Males of Splendora. He was dressed as a Native American chief for Halloween.
- 292 votes: Harper Lynn Walulik, 3 months old, is the sweetest little old lady. She is the daughter of Jacob and Casey Walulik.
- 273 votes: The 20-month-old twins of Kami Lowe and the late CW2 Lucas Lowe of Hardin are the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter for Halloween. They are the grandchildren of Olen and JoJo Bush, James and Cynthia Vaught Lowe, and Ricky and Melissa Myers.
- 199 votes: Brothers Bentley and Case Cook, ages 7 and 4, respectively, are scary zombies for Halloween. They are the sons of Cody and Lauren Cook of Batson.
- 181 votes: Colton Reese Draper, 4, is the Black Panther. He is the son of Jordan Zetik and Coy Draper of Port Neches.
- 175 votes: Esme Deal is 2 years old from Livingston, Texas. Her parents are Michael and Shelby Deal. She was a scarecrow for Halloween.
- 164 votes: Aubrie Osborn, 2, and Lylith Bobo, 1, were treasure trolls for Halloween. They are the daughters of Christine Hard and Trenton Osburn, and Kati Bobo and Wesley Bobo.
- 154 votes: Haileigh Mae Humes is the daughter of Cody and Charissa Humes of Coldspring. She was a mermaid for Halloween.
- 152 votes: Lila and Ava Monk, the 7-month-old twin daughters of Rebecca and Asa Monk of Liberty were dressed as old women for Halloween.
