New Caney man killed in crash

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a one-vehicle fatality crash on Galaxy Blvd. in Montgomery County on Sunday.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 6:08 p.m., a 2004 Nissan Titan was traveling northbound on Galaxy Blvd. at an unsafe speed, losing control of the vehicle, and colliding with a tree.

Oscar Jason Guzman, 16, of New Caney, was identified as the driver of the Nissan.  Guzman was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands by Precinct One Justice of the Peace 1 Judge Wayne Mack.

This crash remains under investigation and no additional information is available for release at this time.
