Roberta Marie Mitchell, age 71 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018. She was born September 27, 1947 in California to parents Crawford Lee and Bulah Anderson Mitchell who preceded her in death along with her husband, Louis Helms “PeeWee”; and brothers, David Mitchell and Bobby Mitchell.
Survivors include her son, James Helms; daughters, Cindy Helms, Judy Smith and husband Michael, Theresa Sumrall and husband James, Sr.; brother, Buddy Mitchell and wife Helen; sister, Sandra McKnew and husband Sonny; grandchildren, Tabetha Helms and husband Justin Morgan, Ricky Smith and wife Melissa, James Sumrall, Jr. and wife Allison, Samantha Sumrall and fiancé Cody Baxley, Camden Smith and Morgan Helms; sixteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2018 at Wells Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
