Joyce Beatrice Ames

Joyce Beatrice Ames, 77, of Beaumont, Texas passed away, Monday, January 28, 2019 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born in Orange, Texas on February 19, 1941 the daughter of the late Chester and Inez Wood Ames.

Joyce was a loving daughter, sister and friend. She had the innocent mind of a child. Joyce was a happy person who enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts, cartoons and country music. She was resilient, helpful, kind and loving. Joyce never met a stranger greeting everyone with a beautiful, bright smile. Her sweet, compassionate soul will forever be remembered by all who knew Joyce.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother John Ames and wife Angie; nephews Darryl Ames and wife Annie, Samuel Ames and wife Lyndsey; niece Kathy Ames; great niece Summer Ames and a host of loving friends. Her spirit lives on through all the people who loved her.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10am at Guedry Cemetery in Batson, Texas.
