Oil tank explodes in Daisetta

Updated: The tank fire is out and the order for sheltering in place has been lifted.

Original story; Authorities are responding to an oil tank explosion on CR 2018 in Daisetta.

No injuries are reported at this time, according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Capt. Ken DeFoor.

Daisetta, Hardin, Liberty and Batson fire departments are on scene.

Liberty County Office of Emergency Management is asking residents within a mile of the fire to shelter in place.

No other information is available at this time.
