Terri Lee Butler

Terri Lee Butler, 71, of Splendora, Texas passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. She was born on Thursday, October 30, 1947 in Muncie, Indiana. Terri was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Edwin Fruitt, mother, Pasty Lou (Collins) Fruitt, sister, Victoria Brown. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Ronald C Butler; daughters, Patrese Marie Whelihan (Patty), Rhonda Lee Tullis & husband Richard; grandchildren, Jonathan Whelihan, Jodi Purcell & Marcos Ortega, Michael & Amanda Whelihan, Jaime Purcell & Jeri Dailey; great-grandchildren, Marissa & Christina Ortega, Colton Soto, Slayton & Jaidyn Whelihan, Kyleigh & Kodi Silva, Paisley Whelihan, Kambrii Dodd & Presley Whelihan; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends.

All arrangements were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.

Before creating Bluebonnet News in 2018, Vanesa Brashier was a community editor for the Houston Chronicle/Houston Community Newspapers. During part of her 12 years at the newspapers, she was assigned as the digital editor and managing editor for the Humble Observer, Kingwood Observer, East Montgomery County Observer and the Lake Houston Observer, and the editor of the Dayton News, Cleveland Advocate and Eastex Advocate. Over the years, she has earned more than two dozen writing awards, including Journalist of the Year.
