George Ellis Whiteley Jr.

George Ellis Whiteley Jr., 70, of Batson died Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Memorial Hermann Medical Center in Houston.

Butch was born December 31, 1948, in Liberty, TX to George Ellis Whiteley Sr. and Alma Jane Carouthers. He lived in Batson most of his life and worked for West Hardin I.S.D. in the Maintenance Department and Batson Oilfield for many years.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Reba Whiteley and his loving wife, Ina Mae Whiteley.

He is survived by his sons, Patrick Whiteley of Liberty and Tommy Lynn Whiteley also of Liberty; nephews, Devin Whiteley of Liberty, David Whiteley of Dayton and Timothy Whiteley of Crosby.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Guedry Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends also on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Faith & Family Funeral Services from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
