The community is invited to attend a celebration honoring Frank Longoria, who worked many years as a police officer for the City of Liberty until his retirement on Jan. 31. Health problems prompted Longoria to retire earlier than originally planned.

Family, friends and well-wishers of Longoria will gather in the Liberty Center next to Liberty City Hall on Thursday, Feb. 14, between 3 and 5 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The Liberty Center is located at 1829 Sam Houston St., across from the Liberty County Courthouse. For more information on the celebration, contact Liberty Police Department at 936-336-5666 or the City of Liberty at 936-336-3684.
