A homeowner reportedly claims that he was shot during an alleged home invasion around 10:50 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Easy Street in the Advantage Mobile Home Park in Cleveland.

According to Capt. Scott Felts, spokesperson for Cleveland Police Department, the male homeowner told police that several subjects kicked in his door and a struggle ensued.

“The homeowner was shot in the forearm. The intruders fled as the homeowner shot at their fleeing vehicle. He thinks he shot the passenger side or rear window of the vehicle, described as a mid to late model Chevy Silverado, tan or green in color,” Felts said.

The homeowner claims there were between three and five intruders. However, so far he has not given the police a detailed description of any of the subjects.

“It’s an ongoing investigation and we still have a lot of details to uncover,” Felts said.
