Robert Eugene Jordan

Robert Eugene Jordan, 72, of Woodville, formerly of Batson, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Harbor Hospice in Houston.

Mr. Jordan was born August 23, 1946, to the late Murray and Dicie Birge Jordan in Batson. In July of 1964, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country and earn many awards and metals until July of 1974 when he received an Honorable discharged and came back to the Batson area where he lived most of his life.

Mr. Jordan is preceded in death by his parents; his precious wife, Teresa Jordan; brother, Carl Jordan; and sisters, Caroline Soileau and Vada.

Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Douglas Jordan and wife Wendy of Beaumont, and Vernon Jordan of Batson; brother, Jerry Jordan of Batson; sisters, Jennifer Jordan of Houston, Sandra Kerr of Atascocita, and Anita Kunkle of Houston; grandchildren, Reagan Jordan, Caleb Jordan, Magen Jordan, and Mallory Jordan; great-grandchild, Keilan Jones Jr, and a host of loving friends and extended family.

A memorial service of remembrance with Military Honors will be Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Robin Zaruba officiating at Faith & Family Chapel. A gathering of Mr. Jordan’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
