Hull bank robbery suspect arrested

UPDATE: Around 6 p.m. Thursday, Aaron Gonzalez was arrested on a federal bank robbery charge by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Texas Rangers and La Porte Police Department.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: The Federal Bureau of Investigations in Houston has named a suspect in the March 6 robbery of Texas First Bank. He is identified as Aaron Gonzalez, 18.

Authorities believe Gonzalez is the person who walked in the bank Wednesday morning around 9:17 a.m. and passed a note to a clerk demanding cash. After the robbery, he allegedly walked to a silver or gray passenger car that was parked nearby.

Three bank employees were inside at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.

Anyone with information on Gonzalez is asked to call the Houston FBI office at 713-693-5000.
