Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to a one-vehicle fatality crash Wednesday afternoon, March 13, on FM 1485 and Idle Glen Rd. in Montgomery County.
Preliminary crash investigation indicates on 03-13-2019, at approximately 2:07 p.m., a 2005 GMC pickup truck was traveling eastbound on FM 1485, attempted to pass vehicles, lost control, and rolled multiple times before striking a power line pole.
The driver of the GMC was identified as Hector Rolando Cruz, 21, of Cleveland, Texas. Cruz was pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace Grady Trey Spikes.
