J.T. Harrison

J.T. Harrison, age 76, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was born November 17, 1942 in Houston, Texas to parents, Bessie and Marion Harrison, who preceded him in death along with his sister, Lois Hamaker.

J.T. retired from law Enforcement after 38 years. He spent most of those years working in the Harris County Sheriff’s office. He also worked for the Cleveland Police Dept., Seminole Police Dept, and the Big Lake Police Dept. where he served as police chief. He volunteered with the Cleveland Fire Department from 1980 to 2001.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Jeanette Harrison; sons, J.M. Harrison, John Harrison and James Christopher Harrison; five grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Jordan Cemetery, Honey Island, Texas.
