Heavy load will cause some traffic delays Friday and Saturday in Chambers County

An oversized heavy transport will be making its way from SH 146 at Cedar Bayou (via FM 565, FM 3180 and I-10) to SH 146 north of I-10 late Friday, March 22, and Saturday evening, March 23.

The haul will begin at 10 p.m. on Friday, March 22 and is expected to last into the morning hours of Saturday, March 23. It will park near the I-10 and FM-3180 intersection until continuing the move beginning 10:00 p.m. Saturday night.

During this time, the SH146 and FM565 intersection will be temporarily closed for one hour on March 22 as the transport passes. March 23 traffic will continue on I10 throughout the move but may experience delays. Other roadways will be closed as the transport is passing, but will reopen after it passes.

All closures are weather permitting. g
