Relay for Life returns to Cleveland on April 26

The 17th Annual North Liberty County Relay for Life is coming on Friday, April 26, 6 to 11 p.m., at Cleveland Municipal Park. Relay for Life raises funds for the American Cancer Society’s battle against cancer.

Relay for Life is an opportunity for community members who have survived cancer, are battling cancer or have lost a loved one to cancer. The event includes games, activities, music, dancing, fundraising, walking and shopping.

This year, a Mr. and Miss Relay Baby Beauty Pageant has been added to the mix of activities. The pageant is open to children ages 0-5. The contest begins at 6:30 p.m. in the municipal park. First place in each age group will receive a sash and trophy. All contestants receive a crown and rose.

Teams are also needed for the Relay for Life walk. For information on the beauty pageant or to sign up as a sponsor, team or individual, email Hannah Taylor, head of the North Liberty County Relay for Life, at nlcrelayforlife@gmail.com.
