Walton Jackson Gilliam

Walton Jackson Gilliam, age 80, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019. He was born September 29, 1938 in Marshall, Texas to parents Walton W. and Nellie Mozell Gilliam.

Mr. Gilliam was a resident of New Caney, Texas for 50 plus years. Walton loved fishing, gardening and hunting but most of all he loved his family. He cherished spending time with his much-loved daughter and her husband, whom he looked up to. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda Gilliam; daughter, Regina Gayle Winkle and husband Jason; sisters, Frances Foley, Nancy Caldwell, Rose Shrader and Mildrene Fortune; brother, Paul Gilliam; grandchildren, Andrew Paul Winkle and Alexander Jackson Winkle; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice or Peach Creek Baptist Church 25963 FM 1485, New Caney, TX 77357.
