Autopsy ordered for body found in Dayton

A man’s body was found by Dayton police Sunday around 11:30 a.m. at a property on the 700 block of US 90 West. Officers were dispatched to the location for a welfare concern.

According to Dayton Police Chief Robert Vine, when officers arrived, they found the body of Michael Wayne Allen, 53, of Cleveland. Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Larry Wilburn performed an inquest. Due to the lack of an apparent cause of death, an autopsy was ordered.

Allen’s next of kin was notified. The investigation into his death is ongoing.
