CPD: Blunt force trauma killed man found on US 59

A man whose body was found along US 59 near the SH 105 Loop overpass on Feb. 3, 2019, appears to have died from blunt force trauma, according to Capt. Scott Felts, spokesperson for Cleveland Police Department.

Terry William Haynes

According to Felts, the autopsy report on Terry Williams Haynes, 51, says that he died as a result of these injuries.

“The manner of death is undetermined,” Felts said. “It’s very possible the male fell from the bridge, but we have not ruled out anything at this time.”

The toxicology report shows that Haynes had a mixture of illegal drugs in his system at the time of his death.

His body was found by a passerby on Feb. 3, but his body had been lying there undiscovered for several weeks, Felts said in an earlier report.
