Betty Jean Cox

Betty Jean Cox, age 80 of Porter, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019. She was born April 17, 1939 in Carmona, Texas to parents William Claude Smith and Viola Mae Smith who preceded her in death along with her husband, George Walter Cox; and three siblings.

Survivors include her sons, Claud Cox and wife D’Lisa, and Tommy Cox; siblings, Claudine Sloan, Patsy R. Rice and husband Wayne, Herman B. Smith and wife Marie; along with four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Montague Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
