12-year-old Conroe youth charged with 10-year-old brother’s murder

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 12-year-old youth with murder for the shooting death of a 10-year-old brother. Authorities have not said yet if the 12-year-old they have arrested and detained in the county jail is male or female.

The shooting was reported in the 10700 block of Stidhman Road in Conroe at 2:34 p.m. Saturday, May 4. Montgomery County Pct. 2 deputy constables were the first to arrive on the scene at 2:40 p.m. and discovered the 10-year-old white male with a single gunshot wound to his chest.

“Life-saving measures were attempted and the male was transported to Conroe Emergency Room where he succumbed to his wounds,” said MCSO Specialist Steve Squier in an emailed statement. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the 10-year-old victim.”
