Liberty Police Department is warning drivers who might drink and drive this Memorial Day weekend: “Extra officers will be focusing on DWIs.”
In the state of Texas, a person is either injured or killed in an alcohol-related accident on average of every 20 minutes. Liberty Police Department has seen an increase in the city since the first of 2019 of DWI and DUI arrests.
“We hope that we can eliminate or minimize that this coming holiday weekend. Remember if you have been drinking, don’t get behind the wheel,” said Lt. Chip Fairchild, LPD spokesperson.
