Sikuka Atalau Mata’utia Blanton

Sikuka Atalau Mata’utia Blanton, 60, of Dayton passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 in Pearland. She was born December 16, 1958 in Samoa to parents Atalau Tavita and Lili Papali’itele Mata’utia.

Services for Sikuka will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will follow at Linney Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Thursday evening at Pace-Stancil.

Sikuka grew up in Western Samoa. She had been a resident of Dayton for over twelve years and was previously of Kansas. She had played softball in college where she received her bachelors in business management. She was a loving mother that sacrificed all, gave all, never complained, and expected little.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Daryl R. Blanton, Sr.; her sons, John P. Wiley, Jr. and wife Krystal, Atalau Wiley and wife Nelida and Daryl R. Blanton, Jr.; one daughter, Lily Wiley; grandchildren, David Wiley, Aaliyah Wiley, Katrina Wiley, Arianni Wiley, Ambrianna Wiley, Olani Wiley, and Noa Wiley; father-in-law and mother-n-law, Dennis and Louise Blanton, sisters Foaga Asuega Letuli, Tua & Gogo Vaimili, Saeota & Filipo Afoa, Itagia & Fa’amanu Fogavi, and brothers Aumalaga Jr. & Tauamo Asuega, Chris & Ruth Asuega, Niu’ula & Lea Papali’i, Rev. Isa’ako & Loreta Mata’utia.
