David Lee Shrode

David Lee Shrode was born May 4, 1938 in Evansville, Indiana and passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in Humble, Texas at the age of 81. David proudly served his country for 14 years in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. David also was a truck driver for 28 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Leah (Hampton) Shrode; brother, Robert Shrode; great granddaughter, Teddi Johnson. David is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Drucilla Shrode; sons, Joe Shrode and wife Cheryl, Mac Shrode, Steve Shrode and Billy Johnson and wife Japlynn; daughter, Wendy Drabbant and husband Frank; sister, Juanita Craddick; grandchildren, Randall, Randy and Katy, Orion, Cody, Cody and Cassie, Christopher, Tylor and Destiny, Inti, Matthew, Brittany, Stephanie, Tiffany, Kristian and Brandon, Amberlye and Matt; great grandchildren, Dakota Johnson and 14 others. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2018 at 1pm in the Neal Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will be provided by the US Navy.
