
A funeral for U.S. Navy Sailor Kyle A. David was held Friday, May 24, at Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland. David, 27, died on May 9 while stationed in Norfolk, Va., where he worked as an aviation electronics technician.
David was a decorated member of the U.S. Navy. After enlisting in April 2012, he had advanced to Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class and was stationed with the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 123 in Norfolk.
During his seven years with the Navy, he had earned three Navy/Marine Corps achievement medals, Good Conduct Medal, two Navy “E” ribbons, National Defense Service Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and a Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon.
He is survived by his wife, Rolanda David, of Cleveland, Texas; son, Elijah O. David, of Cleveland, Texas; parents, John and Lisa David of Mabelvale, Ark.; brother, Zachary David; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raphael and Cheryl Driver of Cleveland, Texas.
