Liberty County Judge Jay Knight's educational effort has earned him top recognition among colleagues.

Community Report from the Texas Association of Counties

Liberty County Judge Jay Knight has been honored by the Texas Association of Counties’ (TAC) Texas Judicial Academy for going the extra mile. The Academy recognizes county judges as Fellows who attain significant judicial education beyond state requirements.

A number of county judges were inducted as Fellows during the Academy’s 2018 Fall Judicial Education Session held late last year in San Marcos.

The Texas Judicial Academy is a partnership between TAC and the Texas Tech University School of Law. The educational program is overseen by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and includes instruction by higher court judges, law school faculty, as well as representatives of the Texas Probate College and the National Judicial College.

TAC unites, supports and provides services to Texas counties so they can more effectively serve their local communities.
