Myrtle Lee Hughes

Myrtle Lee Hughes, age 80 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. She was born June 13, 1938 in Corrigan, Texas to parents Marvin Thomas and Laura Elizabeth Scott who preceded her in death along with her husband, George M. Hughes; and sister, Ada Marie Crawford.

Myrtle was a woman of great faith who enjoyed crocheting and being a homebody.

Survivors include her sons, George Mitchel Hughes, Jr. and wife Paula, Joseph Marvin Tadlock and wife Wanda, Malcolm Perry Hughes and wife Julie, Milton Scott Hughes and wife Cececlia; daughter, Ada Marlene Murphy and partner Gail; sister, Janie Marie McAdams; brother, Floyd Thomas Scott; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, loving nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Living Waters Church, 9192 FM 787 Rd W, Cleveland, Texas 77327 with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Darrell McAdams. Interment will follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.
