Donella Banning Tilton

Donella Banning Tilton, 73, of Dayton passed away Friday June 7, 2019. Donella was born October 31, 1945 in Liberty, Texas to her parents, Phillip Banning and Neva Simmons Banning.

A graveside service for Mrs. Tilton will be Wednesday June 12, 2019 at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Honorary pallbearers are Archie Ulkie, Donald “Bubba” Harlan, David Peterson, Bryan Hemmenway, Mike Tilton, Dason Wilchek, Grant Tilton, Riley Hollingsworth, Cleo Boyd, and Chandler Boyd. Visitation will be Tuesday at Pace Stancil Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Donella was a lifelong resident of Dayton. She attended Dayton schools and was a graduate of Dayton High School class of 1964. Donella married Buddy Tilton June 9, 1967. She was a homemaker; the proud mother of three sons. Donella will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Tilton is preceded in death by her parents; husband, D. A. “Buddy” Tilton; sister, Doylene Hanchey; brother, Bobby Banning; and niece, Jody Gail Banning.

Mrs. Tilton is survived by sons, Keith Tilton and wife, Kathy of Old River, James Tilton and wife, Barbara of Dayton, and Milton Tilton; Grandchildren, Staci Tilton Hemmenway, Amy Tilton Harlan, Mike Tilton, and Tanya Theriot; Great-Grandchildren, Keali Hemmenway, Chailey Wilchek, Dason Wilchek, Grant Tilton, Alyssa Landry, Riley Hollingworth, Cleo Boyd and Chandler Boyd; her great-nephew, Deven Watasa Ohiji; lifetime best friend, Jeanette Shipman, Numerous other relatives and friends.
