Rachel Lynn Johnson

Rachel Lynn Johnson, age 23, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019. She was born January 11, 1996 in Hagerstown, Maryland to parents Robert Johnson and Sandra Lummus. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, James L. Gardner; and sister, Dana Marie Johnson.

Rachel was a 2014 graduate of Shepherd High School and a member of Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church. In her free time, she could often be found hanging out with her friends, her dogs T-Bone and Gracie and above all shopping. Rachel was an adventurous thrill seeker and a free spirit who had a big, kind heart. She will be missed by all those who knew her.

Survivors include her father, Robert Johnson; mother, Sandra Lummus; grandmothers, Audrey L. Gardner and Dee Whiteman; pets, T-Bone and Gracie; numerous other relatives and friends. Rachel’s father would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who stood by her and who had any positive interactions with her over the years.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.

Mr. Johnson has requested that everybody wear pink, Rachel’s favorite color.
