Human skeletal remains were found Monday in a wooded area south of Shepherd, according to Capt. Joe Schultea, Jr., spokesperson for the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office.
The remains have been taken to a lab in Houston for DNA testing in the hopes that an identity can be determined.
