Douglas Dewitt Garness II

Douglas Dewitt Garness II, 34, of Daisetta, passed away on June 18, 2019, in Hardin. Doug was born February 6, 1985, in Galveston, TX to Douglas Dewitt Garness I and Deborah Strang Garness.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Douglas Dewitt Garness I, grandparents, Brady Stephens, Bobbie and Harvey Garness, an aunt, two cousins and great-grandmother, Willie Atkinson.

Those left to cherish his memory are son, Lane Douglas Garness of Daisetta; parents, Deborah and Andrew Strang of Daisetta; sister, Alicia Valerio and husband, Albert, of Dayton; son’s mother, Mellissa Garness of Hardin; nieces, Mazie, Madalyn and Isabella, nephew, Zachary, great-nieces, Kenzley, Everleigh, great-nephew, Westen, aunt, Judy Crawford, and cousins, Brandi, Kenzie, Alannah, and a host of loving family and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. with Reverend Kent Brown and Brandi Crockett officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 P.M.at Corinth Cemetery in Kennard, TX. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.at Faith & Family.

Honoring Douglas Dewitt Garness II as pallbearers will be Drake Lerma, Cameron Lerma, Mike Templeton, Mark Templeton, Kevin Campbell, Chance Abshire, Brandon McClure, Randy Fregia. Honorary pallbearers are Lane Garness, Bobby Higginbotham, Alton Dodd, Dustin Lopez.
