Rilda B. Kirkham

Rilda B. Kirkham, 87, formerly of Anahuac and Houston, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born on November 24, 1931, in Mont Belvieu, Texas to Charles Milton and Katie Hasel Kirkham. Rilda attended school in Anahuac, graduating in 1949 from Anahuac High School and studied business administration at Baylor University.

Rilda worked as a Division Order Supervisor in the Landowner Relations Department in the Oil and Gas industry and retired in 2000. She had numerous years of experience with energy companies, including Tenneco and Anadarko Production Company in Houston and Petro-Lewis Corporation in Denver. Rilda belonged to the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the National Association of Division Order Analysts.

Rilda was dedicated to her family and to their lineage by organizing photos and other memorabilia.  She also enjoyed playing bridge with friends and reading.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rilda was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings Madge Kirkham Dorbandt, Bobby D. Kirkham and Elton B. Kirkham. She leaves behind to cherish her memory numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service and committal will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Anahuac Cemetery with Rev. Reagan Cooksey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rilda’s honor to Anahuac Cemetery, PO Box 926, Anahuac, Texas 77514.
