Joshua Brandon “Josh” Buckner

Joshua Brandon “Josh” Buckner, age 39 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019. He was born June 24, 1980 in Humble, Texas to parents J.W. “Dub” Buckner and Elter Walters. He is preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Doyle and Katy Buckner.

Josh was a 1999 graduate of Huffman High School where he played football and was on the track team. He enjoyed cooking, and was a talented singer and musician who played various instruments. Josh was very charismatic and never met a stranger. He worked for R.G.W. Construction and attended services at Bethel Assembly. Josh will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Survivors include his mother, Elter Lambert and husband Doc of Woodville; stepfather, John McCormick of Atascocita; grandparents, Pastor A.V. and Shirley Walters of Cleveland; children, Faith Buckner and Kenna Buckner of Mont Belvieu, and Emaleigh Buckner of Huffman; stepsons: Bailey Bigham of Huffman, and Joshua Rieck of Huffman; sister, Tasha Morrow and husband Jason of Splendora; nieces and nephews, Cameron Morrow, John Dylan Morrow, Kaylin Morrow and Payten Morrow of Splendora, numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. With services beginning at 12:00 noon officiated by Rev. Charles Pierce, Rev Charlie Burton, and Rev. Robert Wilson.
