Go Fund Me account set up to help family of Atascocita firefighter killed in car crash

Friends and family members of Atascocita firefighter Jared Snell gathered Sunday to share remembrances. Snell died Friday in a head-on collision in Tarkington.

Friends of Jared Snell, the Tarkington resident and Atascocita firefighter killed in a car crash on Friday, have established a Go Fund Me account to help his wife and four children as they prepare to lay him to rest.

Snell was killed Friday night in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler on SH 105 at CR 2234 in Tarkington. He was 35.

Lt. Snell worked for Atascocita Fire Department since April 2017. Prior to that, he was a member of the Baytown Fire Department.

The financial goal for the Go Fund Me is $30,000 and donations can be made in any amount. To make a donation, go online to https://www.gofundme.com/f/jared-snells-wife-and-children.
