Leon Franklin Vann, age 79 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019. He was born May 21, 1940 in Livingston, Texas to parents Carroll Lee Vann and Willie Lucille Gilbert Vann. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Eva Charlene Mullins Vann.
Survivors include daughters, Theresa Vann Holloway and Ynette Rene Peterson; grandchildren, Sara Lee Holloway, Christopher Wayne Holloway and Noah Westerfield; great-grandchild, Mariah Ray’Lee Limbrick; and sons-in-law, Cecil Wayne Holloway and Phillip Craig Peterson; numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2019 at Magnolia Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Bro. David Parish. Interment will follow at Hayman Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hayman Cemetery Funds in his memory, payments may be sent to Magnolia Baptist Church 811 Lilley Yeager Loop N, Cleveland, Texas 77328.
