City of Cleveland sets up debris dumpsters to help Imelda victims

Dumpsters for debris disposal related to Tropical Depression Imelda have been set up by the City of Cleveland to assist residents. The dumpsters are located at 26508 SH 321 at the East Wastewater Treatment Plant in Cleveland and are open only to residents of Cleveland.

Citizens will be required to show proof of residency within the city limits of Cleveland. Proof of residency can include a driver’s license, water bill or electric bill.

Appliances, tires, chemicals, paint and oil are not permitted in the dumpsters. There will be an area onsite where appliances can be brought for disposal; however, no paint, chemicals or oil will be permitted.

The hours of operation for the dumpsters will be (beginning at noon, Sept. 30):

  • Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, 12 noon to 4 p.m.
