Carlton Marcus Conner

Carlton Marcus Conner, age 91 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019. He was born August 29, 1928 in Daisetta, Texas to Charles C. and Margaret Long Conner who preceded him in death along with loving wife of 67 years, Vera Conner; son, David Marcus Conner; and his twin brother and 5 sisters.

Carlton was a 42-year resident of the Cleveland area. He serviced in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Carlton was a member of the VFW as well as the American Legion. He was a Houston Transit bus driver for 30 years. Carlton will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his daughters, Marilyn Argo and Rose M. Crook and husband Gary Crook; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Splendora City Cemetery, Splendora, Texas
