Motorists on Hatcherville Road (CR 486) in the Dayton area are being told to expect delays through the end of October as crews with Liberty County Pct. 4 Road and Bridge work on a road resurfacing project.
“We are starting a complete rework of Hatcherville Road. All that traffic coming out of the chemical plants out of Mont Belvieu and Baytown is taking a toll on that road. It’s really getting torn up,” said Pct. 4 Commissioner Leon Wilson.
Motorists are asked to patient or seek alternative routes, such as FM 1413.
Wilson’s crews just wrapped up a road repaving project on CR 603, which was down to one lane of travel during the construction process. Repairs to CR 604 at the Old River Drainage District are still ongoing, so the road remains closed at this time. The culverts on CR 604 nearly washed out during Tropical Storm Imelda.
