Mary Hattie Smesny Wilkinson, 89 of Dayton passed away October 22, 2019 in Baytown, Texas. Mrs. Wilkinson was born October 11, 1930 in Dayton, Texas to parents, Teodor and Marie Cervenka Smesny.
Services for Mrs. Wilkinson will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2019. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Eastgate. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Pace-Stancil with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Wyatt Wilkinson, Brody Hinton, Tyler Hinton, Justin Lee, Douglas Hinton, and Winston Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers will be William Warnke and Mark May.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Eastgate Dayton area. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the KJZT Society at St. Anne’s. She loved being with her family and friends but especially loved her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell Wilkinson; brothers, Raymond Smesny and Joe Smesny and sister, Betty Fielder. She is survived by her son, David Wilkinson and wife Melissa of Crosby; daughter, Debbie Hinton and husband Paul of Dayton; grandchildren, Stacey Hinton, Brody Hinton and wife Jennifer, Amy Wilkinson Lee and husband Justin, Tyler Hinton, and Wyatt Wilkinson; great grandchildren, Zander Hinton, Brynn Hinton, Sydney Underwood and Reagan Lee ; brothers, Antone Smesny of Dayton, Robert Smesny and wife Malba of Crosby; sister, Georgia May and husband Van of Crosby; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
