As Cleveland’s population grows so does attendance at Treat Street, an annual trick-or-treating event hosted by the Unity Committee of Cleveland and the City of Cleveland. Thousands of costumed children packed into Stancil Exposition Center on Thursday, Oct. 31, to visit the 45 or so booths that lined the arena.

The booths are hosted by local businesses, churches, schools and civic groups, with each competing to win trophies. Awards this year went to Southside Elementary, first place, El Burrito, second place, and Whataburger, third place.

The Unity Committee of Cleveland also organizes Hometown Christmas, Fourth of July fireworks shows and other family-friendly annual events. The Committee is made up of volunteers who are dedicated to promoting “Unity in Community.” If you are interested in joining the Unity Committee, please contact Cleveland Civic Center at 281-592-2395.
