Lois Christine Collier

Lois Christine Collier, 95, of Trinity, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in Lufkin, Texas. She was born on August 8, 1924, in Houston, Texas to the late Joseph Edward and Della Brandon Fingleman. Lois graduated from Dayton High School in 1942. In 1945, she wed her late husband of 71 years, James Perry Collier.

Lois was tough on the inside but all around was a sweetheart. She would always say, “I am old, but still just a girl inside.” Lois enjoyed the outdoors, sweeping her driveway and fishing whenever she could with her husband Perry. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Perry Collier; her brothers Ed Fingleman and Fritz Fingleman. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son John Collier of Trinity; her brother Bill Fingleman of Richmond; her grandchildren Joseph Collier and Sherry Lynn Luce; her great-grandchildren Memphis Luce, Dylan and Tyler Collier; her daughter-in-law Carol S. Fingleman of Groveton; her special friend Cindy Maccurdy of Lufkin; a close friend to John who was like a son to Lois, Bruce A. Morgan of Houston; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
