Harvey Tanner, age 67 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019. He was born September 3, 1952 in Houston, Texas to parents Adolph Mack Tanner and Eula Beatrice Dickey Tanner who preceded him in death along with his wife, Jody Tanner; and brother, Jesse Tanner.
Harvey was a longtime resident of Cleveland and worked in several fields. He has been a bus driver for Cleveland ISD, previous owner of a construction company, and worked for TNT Motors in Houston. Harvey attended Second Baptist Church – Kingwood. He also enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Tanner of Cleveland; brother, Charles Tanner and wife Beverly of New Caney; granddaughter, Breigh Tanner of Austin; sister-in-law, Marilyn Tanner Williams of Vidor; nephews, Brian Tanner, Shannon Tanner, Brandon Tanner, David Tanner, and James Tanner; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with services at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Shannon Tanner. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Brookside Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
