Debbie
was a lifelong resident of Dayton where she attended Dayton schools,
graduating in 1972. She married her best friend and the love of her
life, Ricky D. Short in 1973. Debbie worked for many years for Dayton
Vacuum/Basic Energy before retiring. She was always full of life and
loved visiting with her family and friends. Debbie also supported her
three children and six grandchildren by attending all their activities
through the years. She often said every time she saw her grandchildren
her heart would go pitter patter. She loved to host family and friend
gatherings. There was always a welcome door at Debbie and Ricky’s
house, with a steady stream of kids in and out. Debbie had an
infectious laugh and would always make you smile. She also loved to
dance and to karaoke. But most of all, she loved the Lord. She will be
surely missed by all that knew and loved her.
Debbie was preceded in
